The company added the company’s operations in Turkey to his existing management responsibilities in Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Libya as Regional Managing Director
EMC today announced that it is broadening the scope of Mohamed Talaat’s role as Regional Managing Director, adding the company’s operations in Turkey to his existing management responsibilities in Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Libya.
In this role, Talaat is responsible for driving the overall strategic development of EMC’s business across these markets, with a key focus on continuing the growth of EMC operations, strengthening strategic customer and channel partner relationships in the region. Talaat will also help to accelerate EMC customers’ journeys to cloud computing through innovative products and services, while helping IT departments to store, manage, protect and analyze their most valuable asset in a more agile, trusted and cost-efficient way.
Talaat has over 20 years of collective in-depth experience in enterprise IT solutions and business management and has held a number of senior positions across the region. Prior to joining EMC in 2010 as General Manager for Saudi Arabia, Talaat spent five years at Microsoft as Regional Director, Strategic Alliances for the Middle East and Africa region; and more than 12 years at Oracle Middle East and Africa.
Under Talaat’s leadership, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Libya have significantly contributed to driving EMC’s commitment to help customers maximize the value of their corporate data at every stage in the information lifecycle.
