Sony has announced the expansion of its professional BRAVIA line-up with six new 4K displays in the BZ35F series – FW-43BZ35F, FW-49BZ35F, FW-55BZ35F, FW-65BZ35F, FW-75BZ35F and FW-85BZ35F. This latest series is ideal for a wide range of professional needs including digital signage, information and monitoring applications. Users can deploy the displays for a wide range of venues including meeting rooms, classrooms, reception lobbies, hotel guest rooms, showrooms, sports venues and more.

The new series adds professional features including network and serial communication control, flexible installation options as well as high brightness to achieve even more compelling and immersive visual experience. It includes a software platform that makes the most of the built-in central processing unit (CPU) or the graphics processing unit (GPU) as well as the video decoder. Simplifying complex systems that conventionally involve PCs, setup boxes and/or switchers, reducing total cost of ownership.

Resolving logistical issues surrounding meeting rooms, the new line-up enhances meeting efficacy in a smart way with the optional Meeting Room Solution license. The Guidance Display allows for a customizable home screen and aims to reduce confusion surrounding the availability and equipment of the rooms. Connection is done through a single HDMI cable without the need for remote control. For multiple presenters, one display is all it needs to fulfill the discussion needs as the displays are equipped with several HDMI terminals, realizing auto input change.  The in-built Presentation Timer, time management is a breeze as presenters are conscious of time while presenting, avoiding overruns. End Alarm ensures that presenters are informed ahead of the end-time, allowing them to wrap up the meeting or check the availability of rooms immediately for extended discussion. The displays are automatically switched off at a specified time after the discussion has concluded thereby saving costs.

Operating on Android TV platform, the new displays support HTML5, which allows users to easily create and customize digital signage layouts by selecting image or video files or web links. To achieve greater creative flexibility, the displays are equipped with more than 100 representational state transfer (REST) application programming interfaces (APIs) that satisfies users’ need for remote control and monitoring alongside straightforward integration with external systems.
