To better provide customers with a truly mobile print solution that does not require an on-site server for processing print jobs, Xerox is launching an update to its Mobile Print Cloud solution.
The new version of the solution, Xerox Mobile Print Cloud 2.0, will allow mobile workers to print from any email-enabled mobile device by selecting enabled public and/or private print devices to which they have access, choosing available print options and then preparing the document for printing to the selected device. Print jobs can be sent whether the mobile worker is physically located within an organization’s network infrastructure or outside of it.
The solution more readily connects a mobile workforce to new productive ways of printing, making it easy and convenient to print from an email-enabled mobile device without needing drivers and cables. There are also apps with additional convenience features developed for iOS, Android, Windows and Blackberry. Other highlights include:
•           Support of Microsoft Office files, making it convenient for business needs.
•           New Internet Printing Protocol service to enable enhanced AirPrint workflow.
Additionally, administrative settings allow mobile workers to print to a device that is on or off the premises, as long as the Mobile Print Cloud solution is enabled. The customer or sales channel will manage the administration of the application, such as policies, access, and other features.
To better enable customers to purchase what they need based on the size of their organization, users can now choose between two packs when purchasing the solution: license packs for 900, 3,600 or 9,000 print jobs or new device packs for five, ten, 25, 50, 100 or 250 devices.
