United Electronics Company (eXtra) announced the appointment of Abdulhameed Abdulaziz Al Ohali as the Chief Executive Officer of the company with direct effect starting 10th March 2015.

United Electronics Company (eXtra) announced the appointment of Abdulhameed Abdulaziz Al Ohali as the Chief Executive Officer of the company with direct effect starting 10th March 2015. This was following the Board of Directors accepting the resignation of the previous CEO Karim Al Dahabi for personal reasons and he has been appointed as a strategic adviser for the company.
With more than 28 years’ experience, (Al Ohali) is one of the most prominent Saudi business leaders in the Kingdom. He has spent over 24 years contributing to various (high managerial) and leadership positions in a number of major (trading) groups and prominent companies in Saudi Arabia. Under his leadership, companies have achieved many of their most important milestones through securing growth and sales increase.
(Al Ohali) was the CEO of (Al Fozan Metals Co.) for 15 years, and he also served as (a General Manager of Industrial Sector of Saleh Al Rajhi Co., Ltd. for 5 years.)
The new CEO holds a Bachelor’s degree in marketing from the (Industrial Management Colege) at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals University.
(Al Ohali) stated, “eXtra is proceeding with strategic plans for the development and improvement of its customer service and to provide the best in technology products. Apart from the opening of new branches to cover a larger geographic area in the Kingdom, the company will continue to strengthen partnerships with major technology companies around the world, providing the latest technology to the Saudi market.”
He concluded his statement by thanking the eXtra Board of Directors for their trust, which he confirmed will contribute to the company’s success through employees’ work and support.
The eXtra Chairman and the Board of Directors acknowledged Mr. Karim’s efforts and support during his leadership, and also expressed their confidence in the ability of the new CEO to lead the company and maintain eXtra’s leadership role in the consumer electronics sector sales in Saudi Arabia.
