Prologix has aligned itself to become a key provider of Managed Services, Cloud-based solutions and Network & Application Security for SMBs and Enterprises in the year 2015

The veteran SI has added Cloud-based Managed Services and Network & Security Operations Services as key offerings for the year 2015. The Managed Services model is part of the strategic upheave where the company aims to establish itself further in the next five years by leveraging its resources, the highly-skilled manpower and assets. The strategy is aimed towards flipping the current global infrastructure management trend from 80:20 ratio of sustaining/running to innovating. This is crucial – especially in the case of SMBs, who operate on tight IT budgets and have limited access to technically skilled resources. Prologix will help such businesses either through a new set-up or by transitioning their data center to a highly available and secure cloud environment. A full-scale NOC, either remote or onsite, complete with comprehensive SLAs will be setup for the client. Prologix will handle end-to-end monitoring, troubleshooting, and daily management of the SMBs’ network & IT operations.

Mr. Sarwan Singh, Managing Director at Prologix said, “Our goal is to establish a Center of Excellence which will be dedicated to showcase the business availability solution, business continuity solution and excellence in customer service. I have no doubts whatsoever that the future of IT is in the automated interconnection of cloud, network and managed service providers. What we would like to tell our customers is that the SLAs & KPIs alone are not a yardstick for us; when we enter into a Managed Services partnership with someone, we will undertake the complete responsibility of their IT network. A 100% network availability at all times will be our basic threshold. We want to take this primary but common stress off the heads of the IT managers.”

“The highlight of our Center of Excellence is the consolidation of Network and Security Operations under a single umbrella resulting in SNOC (Security Network Operations Center). The SNOC approach reduces the investment and overhead required to manage these traditionally separate aspects of enterprise security management. This also effectively increases knowledge sharing, while decreasing the mean time to response to security threats”, Mr. Singh said.

The distinguished  features of Prologix’s Managed Services model will include QoS based on TL 9000, custom network monitoring software, certified network engineers, NOC operators and system administrators, a comprehensive portfolio of modern technologies and solutions, continuous engagements with leading solution providers and information security labs as partners apart from 24/7 support. Aligned with the ITIL framework; Prologix’s portfolio includes Pro-active Monitoring and Incident Management, Problem-Change and Configuration Management, Asset Management, Availability Management, Consulting on Design, Capacity Planning, Implementation of best practices for Process and Operations, Audits, Implementation and Migration Support.

According to a study conducted in 2014, the cloud spending in the UAE is going to increase at an annual growth rate of 43.7 percent till the end of 2016. The growth in SMB segment in the UAE is also tremendous – the total contribution of SMBs to Dubai’s GDP was at 40 percent, according to a 2014 report by the Dubai SME.  Prologix’s decision to go big on Cloud-based Managed Services against such conducive economic backdrop, seems like a smart move.
