The Smarter Security Summit gathers leading international and local IT security experts that discuss how organizations are leveraging analytics for ‘Smarter Security’. The event, organized by Paladion, Middle East’s only Gartner rated Managed Security Service provider, in collaboration with IBM, the world’s largest IT and consulting services company, takes place today at the Ritz Carlton DIFC in Dubai and at Intercontinental Riyadh tomorrow.
The event, themed around Smarter Security – Making Security Strategic, is conceptualized to share best practices across the globe on making IT security strategic and proactive. It aims to provide insights into how leading CIOs and CISOs are making security more strategic and relevant to business for large corporations across globe. The summit also brings together an impressive list of world renowned speakers, such as Steve Robinson, Vice President of Development, Strategy and Product Management from IBM, as well as Hamza Naqshbandi, Senior Research Analyst for Services and Software for IDC in Riyadh.
“Security is a worldwide issue across all industry sectors and it has started to shift significantly from where it was a few years ago. Hackers are now smarter and have been able to easily by-pass traditional security such as antivirus and firewalls; therefore, it currently takes a more analytical approach to see what is affecting our systems and how our networks are behaving”, explained the summit’s keynote speaker, Steve Robinson. “This conference is all about how to use more advanced techniques and analytics to detect the new type of threats that organizations are facing”, he added.
“As an information security provider, we at Paladion are keenly looking to provide an integrated and strategic approach to neutralize enterprise risks. We are extremely happy to have world renowned speaker like Mr. Steve Robinson and are thankful to a global leader like IBM for support. I am sure that this event will help organizations to successfully leverage analytics to enable ‘Smarter, proactive Security’”, stated Mr. Rohit Kumar, President and Global Head of Sales and Marketing.
There is a need today for an integrated and strategic approach to aggregate risks across the IT landscape and to enable intelligence in order to pre-empt and neutralize enterprise risks. The summit gives IT decision makers a chance to meet and network with industry experts and peers to discuss how organizations are making security more proactive and strategic.
Paladion events have always showcased and provided insights into emerging technologies and trends in information security management. The Smarter Security Summit is part of a series of regional security events, which will take place in Riyadh and Qatar as well, and focus on smarter, intelligent security that can bring value for IT departments across large enterprises.
